Knowledge of money management is fundamentally important for the preparation
of young persons for law-abiding adulthood that is free of poverty. LEC’s
financial education program will help alleviate poverty and homelessness by
assisting young people to successfully transition from high school to adulthood
with a clear sense of their financial goals and plan to achieve them. |

LEC Financial Education Program will:
- Help youth proactively plan for specific future purposes through budgeting, saving, and general
financial prudence
- Help Participants become aware of financial markets and how they can
benefit them
- Teach participants the power and appropriateness of resource pooling.
The financial education program will be administered under the direction of a
financial consultant. Classes will be open to adults; however, they will
primarily be scheduled at times and places to ensure maximum youth
participation.
