LEC, a 501(c)(3) community development corporation, offers educational programs that help participants develop or enhance technical and job skills, healthy lifestyles, and personal growth.

LEC programs empower at-risk youth and socially disadvantaged adults to leverage education as a tool for overcoming life obstacles and for acquiring skills needed to survive in the adult world of work. Programs combine specialized educational tools such as cooperative learning and one-on-one tutoring with coaching, mentoring, counseling, and other supportive services that promote a healthy and productive lifestyle. We focus on the individual learner as the most important element of program design and implementation, remaining flexible and responsive to individual needs and preferences. This approach allows participants to transition from the program to professional life more successfuly.
