Even with proper job-related skills, the success of computer training and financial education participants can be hindered by an inability to transition their personal lifestyles to accommodate a successful professional life. Accordingly, LEC will provide participants with supportive assistance from program mentors.

Each participant will meet individually with a mentor who will work with him/her to review goals, assess strengths, and ascertain whether non-job skill related barriers exist that may prevent achievement of long-term employment goals. Participants will meet with a mentor at least twice during the course of the program(s). Participants who are determined to need additional support to overcome barriers to success in meeting their goals will be referred to the appropriate social services.
