Laurel Youth & Family Health Fair.

“Better Health for a Brighter Future!”

LEC will be sponsoring a Youth and Family Health Fair in collaboration with Laurel High School’s Health Awareness Committee later this year (August/September).

The purpose of the Health Fair is to increase health awareness through education and prevention. Providers at the event will offer a variety of screening services and share practical and valuable health information that emphasize the practice of good health habits.

The event is designed to promote good health among youth and families, and connect participants with health organizations and agencies in the Laurel area. LEC believes this Health Fair will provide a valuable service to the Laurel community and that your participation will help us in this effort.  Please mark your calendar and plan to bring your friends and family.

Other LEC Health Events

November 2010

On November 13, 2010, Life Education Center’s Community Health and Wellness program sponsored free health screenings for 16 people at a local church in Laurel.   The event was part of a health and wellness seminar on diabetes and obesity and was organized by the City of Zion Church. 

The screening which included blood pressure, body fat and body mass index screenings was conducted by Beyond Excellence, a local personal health solutions company.
